The Greatest Christmas gift is Jesus

1. Jesus is the Promised One

Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you one the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.'”

Isaiah 7:14 “‘Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”

2. Jesus is the sovereign one

Isaiah 9:6-7 “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the goverment will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of Peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.”

-Jesus is the one that makes peace between God and man.

Wait in God / Espera en Dios

Psalm 37:5 “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.” (King James Version)

Psalmo 37:5 “Encomienda a Jehova tu camino, Y confia en El; y El hara.” (Reina-Valera)

These passages talk about trusting in God with your ways and he will guide you. A lot of times this means waiting on what God will do in our lives. I personally struggle sometimes having patience and worrying in this time of wait. But the Bible says in Matthew 6:25-34 to not have worry, “Therefore I say unto you, Take not thought for you life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? ¿No valeis vosotros mucho mas que ellas? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: Considerad los lirios del campo, como crecen: no trabajan ni hilan; And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. pero os digo, que ni aun Salomon con toda su gloria se vistio asi como uno de ellos. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Whereeithal shall we be clothed? No os afanéis pues, diciendo: ¿Qué comeremos, ó qué beberemos, ó qué vestiremos? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Basta a cada dia su propio mal.”

Don’t worry and wait in God.

No os afaneis y espera en Dios.
